Multiple Encryption Options
A key challenge in encryption is adapting to the needs of the recipient. Depending on their capabilities, different types of encryption may be most appropriate. With the help of IronMail’s policy engine, IronMail can dynamically select between different encryption methodologies to best fit the situation.
IronMail can encrypt messages from gateway-to-gateway via industry standard TLS or legacy systems such as S/MIME and OpenPGP. In addition, IronMail allows recipients with no encryption capabilities to receive encrypted messages from IronMail-protected senders via a familiar Web interface. The recipient has the ability to reply securely, keeping the encryption cycle intact on all legs of a sensitive message’s journey. IronMail allows multiple encryption techniques to be used in tandem, removing any questions that may arise over conflicting technologies.

IronMail can import existing keys or generate appropriate credentials to support all encryption methods, ensuring that administrators do not have to be encryption experts.
