Peter Firstbrook is an emerging authority on client security best practices and technologies. He is a recognized authority on antivirus, spyware and Spam and is frequently quoted in business and trade publications.
As research director, Mr. Firstbrook is responsible for all topics related to endpoint security including: policy, personal firewalls, data encryption, Web gateways and wireless and mobile security. He helps companies develop comprehensive security best practices, select strategic technology vendors and negotiate the best product price.
Before joining META Group in May 1997, Mr. Firstbrook was a financial analyst, implemented retail and branch office networks, developed software for tax reporting/invoicing programs and was a database administrator.
