David Stanley
Vice President and Managing Director, EMEA
David Stanley currently serves as the Vice President and Managing Director of CipherTrust's Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA). Stanley is responsible for the overall revenue growth, strategic alliance direction for CipherTrust operations in the region. Stanley works to support CipherTrust's 100 percent channel strategy as it continues to recruit Value Added Resellers to expand its presence across EMEA.
Stanley joined CipherTrust from Sophos in December 2004 with over nine years security and channel experience. Stanley was a key contributor to Sophos's success in the European market, where he began as a direct sales representative, became UK Sales Manager in 1999 and was promoted to General Manager, UK operations in 2002. During his time at Sophos, Stanley grew UK revenues from under $10m to over $45m. Stanley was also responsible for moving Sophos from a direct sales approach to a channel model, which ultimately doubled company revenue in the first year. Prior to Sophos, Stanley held various roles within the British civil service.
Stanley is a noted expert on European security, and has appeared in numerous broadcast and published articles as well as contributing significantly to the thought leadership of European security via published articles and industry presentations.
